SEC Reporting and Compliance

“The best definition of transparency in financial reporting is simply the preparation
of financial statements of high quality.”

SEC Speech

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) requires all public companies to timely file financial reports (annually and quarterly), and all information regarding material changes in the business. The Rules and Regulations underlying these reports and filings are extensive and often fragmented. As a result, the process of developing meaningful and “transparent” reports can, at times, be an arduous process for companies who do not have the staff to dedicate to these duties.

Active public companies deserve a consulting firm that has extensive experience in the intricacies of working with the SEC, including their accounting and reporting standards. That means a consultant that (i) has had significant dealings directly with the SEC; (ii) has written many, many SEC reports and filings (and responses to Comment Letters), and; (iii) stays current on the ongoing developments and interpretations of the Staff. Substantially all of our clients are public enterprises and, accordingly, it is our business to be able to address these needs.
